Betronic Shannon
The manufacturing industry requires reliable electronics solutions that combine quality, continuity and scalability.

The origin
The history
Smart Electronics was established in 2006 and is led by co-founders Shane Adams and Eamon Irwin. The company operates from two locations in Shannon, on the west coast of Ireland, immediately adjacent to Shannon International Airport and approximately 25 km from Limerick city.
In December 2025, Betronic Group acquired Smart Electronics with the aim of fully integrating its operations in Shannon within the Betronic Group. The new presence in the Irish market enables Betronic Group to leverage the growing technology sector in Ireland and further expand its European presence, both commercially and operationally.
