Working with the Salvation Army

Betronic Group has become a friend of the Buurthuiskamer in Amsterdam West. This step reinforces our ambition to also contribute to the local community.

Community rooms in Amsterdam

We are very impressed by the positive and direct impact that this Community Living Room, just two kilometres from our office, has on people in the neighbourhood. A Community Living Room is an accessible meeting place for people from the local area. Visitors can go there for a cup of coffee, a chat, a meal, or simply company. For many people, it forms an important place to build social contacts and reduce feelings of loneliness.

In addition, community rooms offer support with practical questions and daily challenges. Volunteers and staff help people where necessary and provide a safe and trusted environment where everyone is welcome.

Supporting local initiatives

On Friday 12 September 2025, Johan Vonk and Jasper de Jonge kicked off our collaboration in the Community Room during a celebratory moment.
Our charitable donation initiatives began almost two years ago with an agreement with UNICEF. We are now building on that and supporting this local initiative. We look forward to great results and will continue to commit ourselves to both local and global projects.

We would like to thank Geneviève van Schie, Joy de Groot and Elise Knoop for making this collaboration happen. It is very inspiring to see the daily commitment of The Salvation Army and what they mean to others.
